Irving and the Nets Move On, Both Sides Ready to Go Their Separate Ways

Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets have moved on from each other, with both sides ready to start fresh.

Irving was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in February after he requested a trade. The Nets are now in the midst of a rebuild, with an interesting roster that is far from complete.

The Nets know that Irving's departure, along with the departure of James Harden, means that Kevin Durant will likely be next. But the Nets are ready to move on, and they are excited about the future.

"We're in a rebuilding phase," Nets general manager Sean Marks said. "But we have a lot of young talent, and we're excited about the future."

The Nets have a lot of work to do, but they are confident that they can build a contender again. And Irving is confident that he can find success in Dallas.

"I'm excited about the future," Irving said. "I think we have a chance to do something special in Dallas."
