Despite poor performances in Paris over the past few seasons, Icardi has rediscovered his form since joining Galatasaray last season. This season, Icardi has made 14 appearances in all competitions on behalf of Galatasaray, scoring 12 goals and leading the team to a 3-2 comeback win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, in extremely hot form. But for the 30-year-old Icardi, he also knows that his career is slowly approaching the end.

But Icardi's wife and agent, Wanda, has already planned his life after retirement. In a recent interview with Italian Vogue, Wanda said: "When Icardi stops playing, we will go back to Italy to live, back and forth between Milan and our countryside villa, where Icardi's salary is very good. We used to live in Paris and now we have come to Istanbul, two wonderful cities."
